I Took A HUGE And I Mean HUGE Plunge...

So yeah, I finally broke today and purchased the 5D and 70-200 2.8L lens. Holy Moly what a combo. Totally awesome!
Well it is safe to say that I need to start scheduling more sessions now :) I am looking forward to using these 2 new awesome tools.
So here are my first images with the great combo. I am having a bit of buyers remorse so please make me feel better and leave your comments on how I will just love this and couldn't go wrong!! Right?!?!?

Another Petticoat...

So this is the last petticoat that I have for now. I'm still waiting on my red one. It is taking forever to get. I can't wait to get it.
So here are a few for now. I'm going to look for a few new hats tomorrow. Another obsession of mine.
I got some of my little Chunky muffin too. He was not liking it he kept saying "NO" but I managed to get a few cute ones.
Look for some shots of Holden coming soon. I have a good idea in mind that I want to do with him.

Trying Some New Lighting...

So I'm trying some new lighting techniques. Trying to create the same effect as the studio lighting. I'm liking the results of my lightsphere. I just don't know how practical it is to drag the whole studio set up to my client's home. At least not for the session fee that I'm charging now.
I was playing around with some studio stuff a few nights ago and apparently Rylie wanted in on some of the action. He was quite the shaggy dog. He went to the groomer today so I thought I would give him a chance at his close up. Needless to say he didn't dig it!

Ivy's Turn...

Thought I would use Ivy to practice today. She isn't quite as animated as Ava though, but just as cute. My sister wasn't too pleased with her goofy expressions but I thought they were cute.

A Very Important Mission...

I was VERY saddened this summer as I woke up one morning got online like I normally do to check my email and a photography site that I belong to. I knew that one of my fellow photographer friends was to have her baby and I wanted to check in and see how things went only to find out that a terrible terrible tragedy had arose. Blair's baby had died the night before she has to have a c-section. I was in shock I couldn't believe this had happened after everything that Blair had gone through to get pregnant. My heart sunk!! I just could not believe it!
For more reasons than one her story affected me. I have been through situations simliar to this having had a miscarriage myself and 2 of my 3 children being born with true knots along with having experienced the loss of my nephew Deven at 10 days old.
I along with some fellow photographers are helping Blair in her mission to help fight the type of tragedy that has affected her.

I would really like pregnant women to be more aware of Kick Counts and I really do think we will make a difference!

My Little Angel...

So I thought I would step out of my comfort zone today and try some different lighting settings and conversions.
Ava didn't last as long tonight, so you think maybe she could be getting a little sick of me yet!?!?!? :)

Miss Eta Peta...

Here are a few of Miss Eve. Al had to take Ivy to gymnastics tonight so I thought it was a good opportunity to practice on Eve. I don't know what was up with the finger in the mouth! She had some finger fetish tonight :)
I have a few things coming UPS... hopefully tomorrw......so I will update as soon as I get the stuff and take some more. They will be of Ava again. Poor girl....at the moment she doesn't mind though.
I am itching to do some sessions though! Can you tell?!?!!?

Having Fun Playing...

So I got Ava's peach petti today. Yeah, I was so excited. So of course I had to play a bit. She has been so photogenic lately. I love it!!!! Although I do feel a bit bad that I haven't taken very many of the boys. I'll try to do that soon :)

Another Attempt With My Lights...

So I palyed a little bit today. Here are a few shots from my 2nd attempt with my lights. As you can see I had to give Chunk a sucker so that he would sit still for me. I gave him 1 and Ava kept adding to it.
I just can't believe Ava lately. She is really into this studio stuff! Still waiting on the red petticoat! I can't wait to get it. Probably by the time I do she will be back to her old unwilling self :)
