My Little Girl Turned 5!!!

Well Ava's 5th birthday was on Monday (Memorial Day) I really can not believe how fast these past years have gone by. You hear people say how time flies all the time and are like yeah whatever but honestly it is the truth. It seems like just yesterday I had this newborn baby girl with huge blue eyes and now when I look at her I see a little girl......gosh it makes me all emotional and sad. Oh well what can ya do?!?!? You can't freeze them in time and keep them babies forever although I wish I could sometimes.
She here she is a proud 5 year old little girl!

Yes, I Swear I Have A Bit Of OCD....

I couldn't decide if I liked the color ones better or the texture ones above better so I posted both versions

I swear I have a bit of OCD, when it comes to perfecting something or getting something figured out I'm the type of person that can not rest and does not give up until it is complete or figured out!!! It is so bad sometimes that I either can not go to bed at all and I'm up all hours of the night or when I finally do go to sleep I dream about it!!! I know I'm crazy!

Some More From Today...

I had a session this afternoon and while I was outside shooting I once again noticed the beautiful sky that was filed with huge clouds, so after I got home I decided that I would take Chunk out this time to try a few more off camera techniques. The sky was more grey today and like I said just full of big puffy clouds and wind galore boy it was windy in the big open field!! What a great day for some practice though!!

One Busy Day....

I have had a totally busy day today. We started off with a soccer game this morning and were home long enough to change and then we went to Ava's dance recital, she did so good! It was the cutest thing to watch.
Now Jess is off for a bike show this weekend with Kyle and my sister has to work so I will have all five kids all night and then during the day tomorrow too. Plus I have a semi-pro baseball game that I'm shooting tomorrow afternoon also. Needless to say I needed a little bit of fun free shooting. The sky was so pretty this afternoon so I took Boo out and got some shots using my flash off camera.....I just wish we could have went to the beach and done them now that would have been fun!

I had so much fun with this family! They were all great! Isn't the little one totally adorable with those big brown eyes, and the older girls WOW! All of them are beauties.

Happy Mother's Day!

I just wanted to take a minute and say "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY" to all of my gorgeous, amazing, inspiring, wonderful, loving (client) moms!! I hope you all had a wonderful day!!!

It's Live!!!

Well my new website is now live!! YAY, all of that time finally paid off. I still have some updates to make to it as far as adding more images but at least it is viewable to all of you! My senior/wedding site is still being updated too. I hope to have all updates complete with in the next few days.

Under Construction...

I just wanted to let everyone know that my website is under construction. I'm in the final process of updating my children's site and switching my senior/wedding site over.
What a lot of work!!! But once complete the 2 sites are going to be GREAT!!
I hope to have things complete with in 48-36 hours!

I'm Loving This Awesome Weather...

Well finally spring has sprung and I couldn't be happier!! I love the warm weather and can not wait for all of the flowers to bloom and for everything to be green again.
I have been pretty busy and it seems like I have been neglecting the blog. I promise I will post some resent sessions soon. It seems like I don't have a free minute between potty-training, dance, soccer, and watching my sister's girls. I did manage to grab my camera this afternoon and get this shot of Ava though....did I mention I love this weather!?!?!?

Some Cool New Changes....

I must have spring fever because I have decided to make changes to almost everything to do with my business. I decided things needed some sprucing up so I have been one busy bee trying to get new materials designed along with collections up and running and my new products launched and a new jewelry vendor. Along with all of these things I have a fresh new site in the works too. I hope to have everything complete with in the next couple of weeks....more details coming soon!

Now Offering Session Albums And Collections...

I am now offering session albums and collections.
The session album with be included in my collections and will be complimentary to those with a print order that reaches a certain amount.
I have a few different size and style albums that I am offering. These are beautiful albums and I do have studio samples for anyone who wants to see them.
Here is a little information about the collections. I have 3 new collections that I will be offering. The first will be the *ADORABLE* collection. This collections is $500.00 and will include a $400.00 print credit and an accordion album with (12) 4x6 prints from your session. This collection is valued at $700.00
Next is the *PRECIOUS* collections. This collection is $750.00 and includes a $650.00 print credit and an accordion album or a 4x5 album with (12) images from your session. This collection is valued at $950.00
The last collections is the *UNFORGETTABLE* collection. This collections is $1000.00 and includes a $900.00 print credit and a 5x7 album with 20 images from your session. This collection is valued at $1375.00.
Collections sessions need to have half down when booking your session and the rest at the time of ordering.

This Is Why I LOVE What I Do...

As a photographer we all strive for those rare perfect moments when all the stars a-line and children are in great moods and actually want to be photographed....well guess what??? It happened!!! I could not be more thrilled! I have wanted to get "the right shot" of Chunk for a really long time. Well tonight it happened! He was in a great mood so I took him out and he was so good. I have been waiting for that perfect shot for canvas and I think I may have it. I have (2) 24x40 canvases. One of Holden and one of Ava and I feel like I'm playing favorites for not having one of Chunk but like I said I was waiting for the "one". I love these....now to decide which one :)
I think I'm leaning toward the first 2. I would love to hear any opinions.

My Little Chunk...

He is getting so big. It goes by wayyy too fast. You blink and all "babyness" is gone.
His hair is getting so long, you should see it wet. He loves his "curls" though!

My Gorgeous Nieces...

I was a little bored so I decided to take the girls into the studio tonight. I haven't taken any pics of them since Christmas.
It is so funny looking at them....they look nothing alike, (you would never know they are sisters) They act NOTHING alike either, as you can probably tell from the pictures. Ivy is more reserved, shy and I guess you could say somewhat "snooty" My sister always says that she acts just like me and should have been my daughter. Eve on the other hand is "Miss Congeniality" She is far from shy.....actually a little too friendly at times, and always has a smile on her face. 2 beautiful girls with very different personalities and I LOVE them both to pieces!!!
The one that I can't get over is the one of Ava and Ivy together. My mom and I were talking about the shot and it is crazy comparing the 2 girls. They have such different features. Ava has HUGE round eyes and Ivy's eyes are small and somewhat narrow. And the lips... Ava has a huge wide mouth with thin lips and Ivy has this little petite mouth with nice plump lips.
Now the funny thing is my sister's youngest (the little girl with brown eyes) and my youngest little guy look quite a bit a like. Man the gene pool is a strange but fascinating thing isn't it!??!?
